Group B Results from Confederations Cup

In what turned out to be two one-sided games, little did I suspect Italy to lose so badly to Brazil. It wasn't one nothing or two nothing; it was a three nothing win with only domination floating in the air. Brazil scored all three of its goals in the first half between the 36th and 44th minute. Two goals came from Fabiano and one own goal from Dossena.

In the other match in Group B, USA was able to take a commanding lead over Egypt and win 3-0. More impressively though, USA (prior to this game) was in last place of the group with little hope of making it past this stage, but with their only win and Italy's loss, they were able to advance due to the goal differentials and head to head matches.
